About This Spot

Stepping into Konak, nestled along the stretch of Horseblock Road in Farmingville, feels like finding a quiet corner of Turkey tucked away in Long Island. The space hums with a gentle, inviting rhythm—an unhurried blend of familiar comfort and vibrant Mediterranean spirit where the everyday meets something a little more special. It's the kind of place where the warmth of the kitchen spills into the dining area, and conversations unfold easily over plates shared and stories exchanged.

Konak offers a heartfelt refuge for those seeking authentic Turkish flavors without ceremony. Here, the pace is comforting rather than rushed, embodying a neighborhood spot where locals often return year after year. The air carries the mingled aromas of grilled lamb and freshly baked bread, promising meals that balance tradition with a touch of homey ease. It’s not just a restaurant but a market and deli that spark moments of genuine discovery—whether you're savoring a tender skewer fresh off the grill or indulging in a delicate baklava that bridges savory and sweet in just the right way.

The menu reflects a thoughtful embrace of Turkish and broader Mediterranean culinary heritage, featuring rich, spiced kebabs and fresh sides that feel both hearty and balanced. At the same time, the deli surprises with its selection of halal treats, adding a lighter, playful note to the experience for those who linger over a coffee or look for a sweet finish. The connections between dishes and diners here feel deeply rooted in community—they're about sharing warmth as much as taste.

Whether you’re picking up a quick kebab wrap or settling in for a plated meal, Konak’s relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff make it clear this is a place grounded in genuine hospitality. It’s easy to see why regulars come back, drawn by a dependable harmony of fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. Ample parking and a space that feels welcoming both inside and out invite you to slow down and enjoy each moment, making Konak less about the rush of fast food and more about savoring a slice of Mediterranean life in Farmingville.

Konak is a delightful Turkish restaurant and deli that offers a unique experience for halal food lovers. Alongside its authentic Turkish dishes, the deli section features a variety of halal gummies and marshmallows, which are a pleasant surprise for anyone with a sweet tooth. The combination of traditional and modern offerings makes Konak stand out. We stopped by for an authentic Turkish breakfast, and the experience was wonderful. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a hearty meal or unique halal treats, Konak is a great place to visit.
